Catrina Farnell

Catrina has had CES for six years and until she came along to our new offices had never met anyone with CES before. She has developed her writing talents since her injury and is busy writing a book to help people living with CES – she had joined our team as our Blogger and we hope you enjoy her blog posts as much as we do!

”My name is Catrina Farnell I’m a 31 year old woman who has suffered Cauda Equina Syndrome twice and who now lives with the residual effects issues.

I was a dancer before my medical problems began. I graduated with a Dance Studies HND from Roehampton University. I had plans to be a choreographer but after becoming disabled my life took a different turn.

When I was nine years old I was given a Child of Achievement award from the Prime Minister. It’s always been important to me to look after those around me. After suffering Cauda Equina I have dealt with excruciating pain every single day. I want to help others who are suffering too. My aim in life is to give back to the community that has given me so much.”

Feel free to attend one of our events where you can receive help and support.
